In the throes of, and in the aftermath of Covid I have used Zoom and other online tools such as Skype, Duo, Teams even Messenger or WhatsApp, I am sure there are more, for one to one Genealogy sessions.

I have done some bits and pieces for the Family History Show and and as part of an AGRA podcast.
